Darby Wright

Darby Wright is a self-taught acrylic and digital painter. They sell buttons, postcards, and other wholesale small merch through their shop, OKDOODLE. Darby's mission is to make comforting, encouraging, and accessible art. They believe that access to art is a human right, and that something as small as a button can be an unlikely source of solace. Their work is often inspired by nature and space, as well as various forms of media. They have developed a unique style that is a mix of psychedelic, flat, and abstract styles. Darby lives in Oklahoma City with their partner, son, and kitties.

I love making art that is colorful, comforting, and accessible. I've always used art as a way to process difficult truths and uncomfortable feelings. Each piece contains a bit of wisdom that has helped encourage or comfort me in some way. Sometimes, just knowing I wasn't alone in my experience was enough. I hope they can help you too.
