Alisa Esparza

Bessie, OK

My name is Alisa Esparza, I’m a Cheyenne and Arapaho multi media artist. I’m passionate about healing, creating, and being a part of my community. My dreams are to travel the world, learn different cultures similar to my Cheyenne traditions, and meet new people to expand my spirituality. I enjoy learning about ancient history of the world, finding the echoes of my ancestors in stories long forgotten, and weaving those lessons into the art I create today.

My vision is to create art that feels like medicine—for myself, my people, and anyone seeking connection. I want my work to honor the survival, brilliance, and sacredness of Native identity, while also opening space for shared human experience. I’m drawn to themes of transformation, feminine power, grief, and generational resilience. I’m deeply influenced by my Cheyenne traditions, the stories passed down in my family, and the histories that colonial systems tried to erase. I also pull inspiration from travel, global mythologies, and spiritual practices that echo my own. Each piece I create is a conversation—between me, my ancestors, and the world around me.
