Caleb, a self-taught artist, primarily acquired his painting skills through you-tube videos. However, he acknowledges that he also recalls learning art during elementary school, receiving encouragement from his father and participating in a few figure-study workshops. When confronted with a career choice, Caleb feared he couldn’t balance making a living and making art. Consequently, he opted to work as a healthcare provider, which unfortunately led to addiction and obesity.
In 2013, Caleb departed from the medical field and established Redbeard studios LLC. Since then, he has secured numerous commission. Additionally, Caleb has exhibited his work at Holland Hall and Liggett Studios.
Caleb’s creative pursuits primarily revolve around painting, utilizing acrylic on canvas or watercolor. However, he also creates clothing and jewelry. The subjects of Caleb’s work are influenced by his interest in both human and natural history, as well as nature, which provide him with the motivation to create. He asserts that he is driven by his fascination with the world, the intricacies of human cognition, and the internal patterns and mathematical structures inherent in powerful imagery.
