About the Event
Treewhispers is an evolving international papermaking initiative celebrating the forest of stories and intimate connections that exist between people and trees: a traveling exhibit and workshop series where everyone is invited to share their stories, poems, drawings, and artwork about their favorite arboreal relationships. Handmade paper rounds strung together form an immersive installation of creativity and conversation.
TREEWHISPERS PAPERMAKING WORKSHOP w/ Steve Liggett & Phetote Mshari. June 14 & 28, 1-3pm, $50 : Come and learn about paper with us, share stories and remember with the simple joy of being surrounded by trees, walking through the woods, planting a tree, and rediscovering the awe and reverence that trees inspire in all of us! Steve will conduct a papermaking workshop where participants can make a few paper rounds and embellish them with words with a little help from poet and writer Phetote Mshari for yourself and to go onto this wonderful installation…
