CRASH COURSE IN CALLIGRAPHY - w/ TERESA J WILBER - $60 plus $10 materials fee at Liggett Studios.

Everyone is familiar with their ABCs, but this is your chance to learn how beautiful letters are made.  This four-hour orientation in calligraphy will introduce you to the tools and techniques needed to create elegant letterforms. You will also discover that pen basics are the key to forming the structure of any alphabet you study. Whether writing letters that are bold and structured, like Gothic calligraphy, or the graceful Italic, the basics you learn will give you a glimpse into what is involved. Along with added instruction and practice, you will find that your letters will come alive to create cards, invitations, and endless applications.
