Platter Making Workshop
Come build earthenware platters using hump or drape molds that I will provide. This workshop gives you the freedom to create non-round platters. The first day we build the platters and the second day we will put on the underglazes. It's a lot of educational fun!

DESCRIPTION:
Come build earthenware platters using hump or drape molds that I will provide. This workshop gives you the freedom to create non-round platters. The first day we build the platters and the second day we will put on the underglazes. It's a lot of educational fun!
1st PART: Platter making Workshop – Students return to Liggett Pottery on
Sat, April 13, 1-3pm to use their new hump molds, the use of stamps, putting
down background underglazes, adding clay to their platters and leave to dry a bit
overnight.
2nd PART: Surface Design Workshop – Students return to Liggett Pottery, April 14, 1-3pm, when
the works are “leather hard” and learn more about the use of and carving through
underglazes. The pieces are then left to dry and steve will glaze and fire them.
FEES: $100- Includes all plaster, clay, underglazes, glazes and firing.
