The first day is spent in learning basic handbuilding techniques: pinching, coiling and slab building to create 5 individual works that will then be dried, bisque fired and raku fired on the second day. The firing is done in Creek County and is a fun and exciting time of learning about basic glazing and firing techniques. Participants fire and remove their clayworks putting them into trash cans full of combustible materials. 10 lbs of clay, glazes and firing included in fee.
