Juror: Our visual arts juror this year is Cindy Erickson who says about the kind of work she will pick for this show: I am interested in artwork that goes beyond the normal still life representation of flowers and shows out of the ordinary ways of seeing this common theme of “the flower.”
ABOUT THE CURATOR:
Cindy Erickson is an artist and art educator who has spent her lifetime exploring various subject matter and different media. But she always returns to flowers and botanicals because they exhibit so much variety of color, form and interconnection. A Realisism artist by nature, she has recently been exploring more loose, abstracted collages to include even more texture into her pieces.
