DIY Book Cloth & Cover Windows

For the first Book Dragons of 2026, plan for a fun and creative time of book arts skill building! We will be learning both how to create DIY book cloth and how to create layered windows in book covers.  Add these new tools to your bookbinding repertoire, and go into 2026 ready to make books with more avenues for artistic flare! 

 

Tools and Materials: 

- Cotton patterned cloth

- Glue 

- Glue brush

- Xacto knife

- Ruler with a metal edge 

- Triangle or mitering tool

- Cutting mat

- Bone folder
