IDENTIFYING YOUR OWN MYTHOLOGIES & LEGENDS

JUNE 9

Lecture & Workshop by Kay Todd:  IDENTIFYING YOUR OWN MYTHOLOGIES & LEGENDS

Dr. Todd’s degree is from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Mythological Studies with Emphasis in Depth Psychology.  Her work is based on Jungian concepts and theory and focuses on understanding and changing story for life resilience. She says about Myth Making:

“I want to tell you a story. The problem is it is so ancient there are no words. Myth provides images that inform us, without words, of our personal or collective story. Join us for an afternoon of exploration with myth and image; leading to the creation of art pieces that represent our personal mythology/story.  Through this workshop, participants will understand how to use mythology to create art, be able to define personal mythology and use personal mythology to begin creating art.”   Some supplies are provided, but the participant may want to bring their own as well. Sunday, June 9, 1-4pm, Liggett Studios $20.
