Resist! Photographs of Protest by Michael McRuiz

Opens Second Friday, Sept 10, 6-9pmContinues through Thursday, Sept 30. All work will be available online for purchase as well at in-gallery.

Liggett Studio is a located at 314 S Kenosha, Tulsa, OK 74120 in heart of the "Off-Brady" East End Village District.

This exhibit is a collection of photographs taken during the last three years. Photojournalistic in nature, they depict scenes from gun violence protests, anti-abortion protests, Planned Parenthood protests, Trump rallies, Black Lives Matter rallies and more, and address the current polarization of the country. My intent is to bring images of these events to an audience that has limited knowledge of them and otherwise would not experience them, and to reveal humanity to humanity in a manner that words alone cannot express.
