Call for Art:

Call for curators and artists! We are now accepting proposals for the 2022 season! Due Oct 1, 2021.


Liggett Studio is pleased to present a new twist to the Tulsa Women’s Exhibit and is seeking entries by:

  • Women 18 and older who make visual art.

  • Artists must live in the general Tulsa area.

  • The kind (or media) of visual art is open to all forms that are original.

  • All works must be for sale (with the exception of installation works) and

  • must not have been shown within a 100 mile radius before the exhibit opens.

  • Entries will include two jurying processes: first, an online virtual entry method and if accepted, an in-gallery method.

  • Installation works must have a good description as was well as a drawing of the artist’s concept and an example of previous work should be submitted and indicated as such.

  • Artists may enter up to 2 entries and each entry fee will be $10 to defray costs.

  • Photo files must be 1-4 MB and jpg. format with the file name the same as the title of the work.


Sponsor: The exhibit will be an annual event and this year our sponsor is Sharon King Davis, a long time Tulsa resident and feminist leader as an arts advocate in our community. 


Juror bio:  Linda Stilley, noted artist and arts educator in our community, will be our judge.  Linda’s work ranges from mixed media collage works to raku ceramic works.  She has a Master of Teaching Arts degree.  She states: “I’m looking for artworks that show me someone that has looked into themselves and expressed it -authenticity to self and her surroundings.  I’m interested in experimentation in a well-crafted work.”




Jan 1, 5pm - Entries start being accepted online


Feb 1, 5pm - Artists Entry Deadline 

Feb 7, 5pm - Juror makes 1st round decisions

Feb 10, 5pm - Artistic Director notifies artists of 1st round acceptance

March 9, 1-3pm - Artists deliver work to Liggett Studio, Juror makes 2nd round decisions at this time.

March 9 - Artists are notified if their work is accepted or rejected by midnight

Wed, March 10, 10-12am - Rejected work must be picked up. Installation begins

March 12, 5-9pm - Opening: 2nd Friday, by reservation time limit.


Gallery Hours: Thursdays, 5-8pm & Saturdays, 1-5pm

April 3, 5pm - Duration:  Show continues through this date

5pm on April 3 - Strike: Artists pick up unsold work
