Featuring work by Alex Tamahn

Opens Second Friday, January 8 - Feb 6, 2021

Liggett Studio is a Community Engaged Exhibition and Performance Space located at 314 S Kenosha, Tulsa, OK 74120 in heart of the "Off-Brady" East End Village District.

Art for this show is a nuanced conversation about toxic masculinity and the psychological trauma experienced by modern Black American men, who, the artist feels, " are maligned—wedged into the confines of many destructive tropes (violent, shiftless, lascivious, etc.), and not allowed by mainstream society to fully shed this misidentification".  Serpentine motifs and imagery will provide allegorical reference.
