Intermediate Oil Painting: Color Mixing/Composition

Intermediate Oil Painting: Color Mixing/Composition - This session is great for those who have taken a beginner session with me and would like to move on to introducing more color and more complex subjects. It is also great for those who have not taken any classes with me but are familiar with basic handling of paint and painting techniques. 

-The first lesson will be how I would approach a still life such as flowers from start to finish. We will go over tips and tricks to achieve a strong foundation to insure a great final painting. We will start by drawing the subject (I will show you a few ways you can do this and you can decide which method works best for you). Once our drawing is finished we will begin our next lesson which will introduce color. We will go over color mixing and color value and begin painting the first layer of our still life. The final lesson we will go over details and how to use them strategically to guide viewers throughout your composition. Final touches will be added and your painting will be complete!  Deadline to sign up is: February 25. (minimal materials needed)
