ECO-PRINTING BASICS

MAY 18

with Lynda Jacobs, 10am to 4pm

May 18, 10am to 4pm - ECO-PRINTING BASICS with Lynda Jacobs, $150.  At Liggett Studios

Through eco-printing, a sustainable way to transfer the unique language of leaves and flowers on fabric or paper, I found a living art, a way to bring Nature to life that engages so many parts of myself. It begins with the act of walking, noticing plants that make up my ecosystem, learning how and if each will print, experimenting with ones unknown. Always present is a deep gratitude for the beauty and diversity of life’s expression. I then place leaves and flowers I gather on fabric in whatever ways inspire me in the moment. Alchemy is next — the mystery and excitement of the process as it steams, unsure of how the combination of everything will express itself this time.  Eco-printing is a way to explore and experiment, as well as a way to bring something meaningful into community. Each participant will bring leaves and flowers and a list will be sent as to what prints the best.  All other supplies will be provided including the material to make a light weight scarf.  Enroll by May 11.

***No refunds if you cancel less than 48 hours before the workshop***
