MYTHS & LEGENDS: EXHIBIT & PERFORMANCES 

- A co-curated Project by Trueson Daugherty & Steve Liggett

A MYTH or LEGEND IS: a story of historical events that serves to unfold part of the world view of a people or explain a practice, belief, or natural phenomenon.  This is a juried exhibition that contains a variety of media from artists’ submissions. These expressions take the form of a story, poem, painting, sculpture, or performance.  There were also a series of workshops preceded the deadline for entry.

The Exhibition portion of this project Opens Second Friday, Sept 13, 5-8pm

And continues through Oct 3, 2024.

Liggett Studio is a located at 314 S Kenosha, Tulsa, OK 74120 

Some myths and some legends involve movement and sound and words to tell the story.  The Closing of the Myths & Legends Project will be a time set aside for these poets Ann Weisman, Kevin Gibbs and Shawn Perkins and performance artist, Ra Vashtar to tell their stories.  Reservations are encouraged, but not required.
